I have my shoulder pad mounted underneath as well, and so far it's not been too annoying to operate the buttons on the side/top...and most importantly having my head against it has not hit any of the buttons or switches either. Neither has my sweat in the hot Texas sun fried the camera more importantly!

Now people moan about he flush buttons on the FS100 - but I really like that you can push your head against the camera for a more static shot without selecting flower mode

Mine lives (apart from air jobs) in a really useful box - the poor mans peli - on location setup time is minimised..
What the hell Allstar. You lucky bastardthat's a brutal setup. Could be the best possible.

Can you do gain and shutter (and iris with E-lens) on the handle?

It is just a demo camera, the dealer said he can give me a new camera on July.
There are expanded focus, iris push auto and REC buttons on the handle.

This is a balance shoulder rigs, so the camera needs to put on my shoulder. My arms are easy because most weight is on my shoulder. You have to mount the camera in front of you face if you want to operate the buttons, but that will be laborious to hold it.
The base has ARRI standard dovetail, so I can balance the camera on the tripod after changing lens.

Keeping this thread going... Here's mine.
Some items worth describing:
1) Magnification monitor loupe. I wear glasses so this is more convenient for me instead of a viewfinder loupe. It doesn't fit securely on the EVF so I need to bandage it with some velcro straps (need to find black ones!)
2) Convergent Design's NanoFlash. I'm still finding the comfortable spot to place this.
3) 12v 4600mAh battery that has a 1/4" mounting screw, for the NanoFlash. Goes onto the back of the Edelkrone rig
4) That little knob is for a suspension support rod. It's attached to a cheese plate so I have more room.
5) Coiled HDMI cable.

It already came with a frame mount, kinda fits the EVF but i make sure it doesn't fall off by attaching velco straps (pictured above the kit). It also comes with a large hood that fits both eyes.
Mine was the OEM version as I can buy that stuff here in China. Jag35 has theirs called Monitor-X

here's the rig I've been running around with most lately...
A fairly simple and cost-effective way to make your shoulder rig.
This mounting method will fit both 15mm and 19mm rods, just make sure whichever barrel mount adaptor you buy can accomodate your size. The adaptors, the picatinny riser, and the grip pod all normally run around $10-$20 per piece. Not a bad deal even when you compare it to a similar rig like RedrockmicroShouldemount. There are also 90 degree picatinny adaptors so you don't need to purchase a handle like the wooden camera that I have.
Only downside to this is searching fot the right adaptor that suits your need. You'll have to do a little bit of looking around or grab a friend who loves modern firearms and show you around

this looks like an amazing rig..what is the mattebox and lenses that you are using? And what about the letus cage is this for the fs700? how happy are you with this cage...it looks like a good solution....the lense look like a zeiss zf - do they perform well?

thanks for the reply...yes I agree letus cage looks like a true camera saver...but I really wonder if they are going to come out soon enough with a cage design special made for the fs700...in that case would love to get one and protect my camere from the unexpected....glad to hear the zeiss duclos style perfrom well since I just bought a whole set of those....mattbox from cinematic looks good, how are you happy with it...

DP4 EVF: After the recent firmware upgrade, it is pretty good. I power up the power from AB battery most of the time so i don't really know about the battery life if using canon battery. I got a replacement once from smallHD. The board of the unit just died within 3 weeks of usage. Not sure if i can call it an issue with EVF but i can't see it very well. I have 20/20 vision. Can't seem to adjust the prism to get better/clear view.
Letus EVF knuckle worth every single penny. Very good mounting system. However, you will need to buy the cage by Letus but the total cost is still much better compare to others system. I will use internal battery sometime. But most of the time, everything connect to external power source via the AB battery. (monitor/body/light/AJA)

Thanks Bubble- if you "can't see it very well", what's it's main benefit for you? Is it a size/sharpness/brightness/angle issue?
With the knuckle, can you get the DP4 without EVF far enough away from your eyes for them to focus on the monitor? Do you go handheld much?

i just waste my money on that EVF. SmallHD said it might be my vision. I have 20/20 and i don't wear glass. You know in DSLR, when you turn the dial knob on the viewfinder, you can blur or have a clear image. For me, when i look inside the EVF, it is not clear/sharp. I end up using the DP4 as external monitor most of the time. Sadly. The Letus knuckle, you can move the DP4 without EVF far and still see them very clear. Don't handheld much. Using 7D with letus rig for most of handheld work.
