Shotguns

So that's what you did all summer. Shootin stuff.

That looks better than most of what's come out of warren miller's production house lately. Mostly because you weren't shoving a salomon logo in my face and putting a bunch of fake swooshing sounds around some twixtored up mess of a shot. :D

Looks good man.

Nice compositions, strong editing, an appropriate track for the content, and a smoothed out hand held feel that worked nicely.

Really though, the editing is what made this work so well. Great cuts and pace. My only complaint is just the compression, but it's obvious that it needed to be packed down for web viewing. Still looks good despite the artifacts.

Haha, actually I only got to shoot up there about 4 days out of 50ish. Mostly I was standing watching kids swim (very un entertaining, actually, especially since they were all boys >.<, no jokes Kevin thank you) and running around with the dvx on my shouolder (DIY shoulder mount, its legit).

I actually rarley hear swooshing sounds unless there at the correct points in WM films. The Jeep and Salomon logos do make me want to choke someone. Still, there my fav ski films.

Thanks tho man, glad you liked it!

Oh, my boots are 315, not 215 :P.

Also, I recommend that whenever you've got shots with high chroma red and blue levels in the future, you might want to try applying some horizontal chroma blur to the clip to see if you can smooth out the reds and dark blues. I noticed on the last shot with the red bucket that there was a lot of blocking coming off of the edges. By the way the whole piece looked, it seems that you upped the saturation and contrast a little, am I right? If so, you'll definitely want some chroma blur.

Yeah, there was a tad bit of grading done to spruce it up a bit. I still havent been able to find Avid's Chroma blur is. :S.

Thanks much tho man!
