short prime lenses with a matte box

Anyone have any luck with short primes (contax 50mm f/1.4) and a follow focus/matte box combo? I have a matte box that attaches to the front of the lens and I am wondering what kinds of setups people have managed to use with the shorter Nikkor or Zeiss primes with a FF/Box combo?

With a Cinevate Durus FF, this hasn't been a problem. Depends on what MB and FF you're working with.
