Hello y'all! First post here.

In a upcoming project (personal) we are planing to shoot a surreal short around the inner thoughts of a depressed writer. The film is to be set in Stockholm's underground. We are shooting with a double-camera setup, my 7D and my friend's GH2. In the lowlight areas of the station platform we need a good lowlight lens. What would you recommend?

Furthermore everything will be in black-and-white. Maybe in the cinematic style of "Down by Law" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcSxhjH0pwA). How could we achieve this?

Zeiss are the cream of the crop, so to speak. I don't have any, haven't used any, but their reputation online is great. I'd like to rent a set of Compact Primes. They're already geared for follow focus, have a long mechanical throw and are sharp as tacks. Cinema lenses all the way, but that's what I'm shooting, narrative drama and action. Rent the Sigma 30mm I suggested. You'll like it, it looks like a 50mm on FF.

what focal lenghts?

it the answer is "normal", I, with my contrained budget, would go for these:
* on the GH2, a voigtlander 25mm f/0.95
* on the 7D, the samyang 35mm f/1.4

That's fine. The Sigma 30mm was great in a medium sized office we shot in. Great for medium-close-ups that is and that is on a 7D. You might want to go with something a little wider than 35mm.
