Shooting 1080/24p with P2 cards

Is there a chart or something that tells you how much you can fit on all the various GB sizes? Like how many times do you have to 'dump' when using a 16GB card?

I've seen the charts around, so YES there are charts stating recording times in various recording modes.

Since your title states 1080/24p I can only assume that this is the mode you are most curious about?

1GB per minute. Your 16GB P2 card can record 16 minutes of footage at 1080 24p.

Thanks, I've been reading the book that comes with the 200 and there is a chart in there for p as well as pN. I guess I should read the literature first before asking questions.

I just want to shoot something story driven like 'Good Dick'. I don't need a lot of fancy stuff. Just good story and 24fps. I live in Olympia, WA and there is a public television station that lets you borrow Sony GL camera's, lighting, sound for no charge. I've got a 200A, just need the storage and M2 gear. And I am wondering if I can shoot a good story with only one camera and get the continuity right. Just shoot, store, edit, burn, submit. What ever technical knowledge I can get me through that sequence would be helpful. Thanks.

Yes, it is possible.

Especially if you have the experience needed in all the tiny aspects of creating
a story and carrying it out.

The camera and the editting suite are tools - not creation devices.

"It's all about the story"

You should re-think 1080 since it can't be recorded in native mode like 720. Before I upgraded to 16 gb cards, I could get 41 minutes of 720/24pn on (2) 8gb cards which was not too bad at the time.
