Does this micro HDMI connection have a locking connection?
Because if not that will be a nightmare, especially when you are recording critical imagery to the yet-to-be released 5k HDMI recorder.

On my GH3 I don't use an external recorder but I use a locking mechanism to pin the cable to my cage for my monitor. There are several HDMI locking accessories out there for the various cages or baseplates that fit the GH3 and will also fit the GH4 body as its of amost the same dimensions.
For field use a gold mount with a 4-pin XLR power cable on it suppling 12VDC would work. The battery will be as big as the YAGH.Yes, but if I'm reading the information that's out there correctly, the YAGH has no battery power, and no option for battery power. So unless you're shooting in a studio, it's not an option, leaving many people with the micro HDMI as the only real choice in the field.

Exactly, which is why I've paid very little attention to the YAGH.The other problem is that these power solutions also need to be rigged up and add a lot of weight. In the end it kind of defeats the purpose of buying a smaller camera system if you have to frankenrig your M4/3 camera.
There are a couple of expensive pro power options like the Anton Bauer or Sony V-Lock battery system, but they are very expensive to implement properly. By the time you purchase multiple batteries, rechargers, power distribution etc... You could be looking at $1000+
There's a very simple and easily viable option for use in the field -- just wear a battery belt, like a Bescor. $43, weighs 3 pounds, sling it over a shoulder or wear it on your belt. It provides 36 watt-hours of runtime. I don't know what the power draw of the YAGH is, but it can't be all that much...Yes, but if I'm reading the information that's out there correctly, the YAGH has no battery power, and no option for battery power. Note, I'm not saying this is an IDEAL solution, but it is certainly a potential solution.
