It varies no doubt around the world but here in the uk will i have to as good as give my GH2 away,Its as new 18 months old, plus 18-140 & 14-42 lenses, all standard kit that came in the box,2 extra Pana batteries and 2 non Pana batteries, any input on what its worth, thanks

You will want to try and sell your GH2 before the G6 hits the market at the end of June. In North America the G6 will sell new for $750 with a 14-42mm kit lens.

I've seen GH2 bodies selling in the range of $400 - 600 over here, usually with batteries and SDHC cards.

I sold my GH2 body last month for $750 with 3 batteries. Price has really gone up since it's been discontinued.

...that will change when the g6 is released. And if the g6 gets hacked, the gh2 will sell for 250-300 max. And considering it was 500 for the body from b&h , this just shows people's lack of foresight.

And we know this how? How do we know how it will compare to the GH2, especially hacked GH2? There's been a whole workflow and knowledge base built up with the GH2 that will take time for even the GH3 to catch up to, and the GH3 has been out now for quite some time. GH2 is a known quantity and its quirks and oddities are all known as are the workarounds. You know what you are getting and how to get the most out of it. But the G6? We don't have the first idea - all we have is a spec sheet and a few videos. It takes time, quite a bit of time to master a camera and all its capabilities, and this will be true for the G6 as well. We don't know what he gotchas are for the G6. Remember, just because a camera comes later doesn't mean it will be 100% better in every way... for example, many people think the GH3 got a few things worse than the GH2 (no multi-aspect ration, worse moire etc.). Who knows what the plusses and the minuses of the G6 will be compared to the GH2. Of course, like everybody else, I'm hoping for the best - I'm really hoping that the G6 is better than the GH2. But I also know that nothing is known in the camera world until the camera actually comes out and is in user hands; then we see what it's capable of, and what bugs it has that need to be fixed.

The reason the GH2 is maintaining a high prices, is because the GH3 is not head and shoulders above the GH2, and we know the GH2 capabilities very well. Maybe once we know the optimal workflow for the GH3 (and maybe if it's hacked), the price of the GH2 will finally drop as the utility of the GH3 is fully realized. The G6 may, or may not transpire to be a factor in the price value of the GH2, but it's way too early to assert that. Let the G6 come out and be in user hands for a few weeks, and then we'll see what happens to the price of the GH2. Just my 2c.

hummmm....gee...that was more like 3 cents.... or even a nickel.

My take is based on the going price for the gh1....still a quite competent camera . And the reason the gh2 is still selling for around it's new price is because they apparently made less of them ...unlike the gh1, and the gh3 came out $500 more expensive. History shows the gh3 price will also decrease ....I'm guessing ( admitted ) to around a grand in 6 months to a year....just like the gh1 and 2 prices decreased. If I was selling a gh2, which I think is a bad idea, then I'd certainly try selling it now while the wave of enthusiasm is high...before the g6 is released...and before the gh3 suffers a combination of being hacked and a price decrease. Whether the g6 lives up to it's hype is based on past panasonic performance and the likelihood of it being hacked.

....there....that was 2cents ! ...well....maybe 2 1/2....
