FEATURE: SEARCHING FOR ANGELS (formerly JANE DOE)

I worked on a film called Between Kings and Queens, shot on RED and finished on Blu Ray. I worked on MAC with Premiere CS4 and sent that to After Effects. It took 3 days to convert and burn. Yes, 3 days. I tried using Toast as well for the Blu Ray and got stutter on playback. So, I exported a Blu Ray file from After Fx into Sony's DVD Architect on my PC Laptop. Stutter free.
I suppose you can send your exported quicktime to After FX and head to DVD Architect (demo is online at sony site) or export a MPEG2 Blu Ray from FCP and go to DVD-A.
That was the only solution that finally worked for me. I tried Toast and Encore and couldn't get it to work properly.
Good luck!

Thanks man! Well I have files ready for Blu Ray burning. I'll look into the files DVD Architect needs, but I imagine that it can't really be different than .m2v + .ac3 files. You'd think someone would get it right by now...

I'll try that tomorrow,

Brought the MPEG-2 + AC3 file into DVD-A and am still running into an issue. I have never encountered issues like this when it comes to burning something. DVD-A is still trying to re-compress my footage, saying that the bitrate is too high to burn a Blu Ray on a DVD? Who said anything about trying to burn a Blu Ray on a DVD?

Anyway, I put it to burn regardless...I'll see what happens and post back.

Looks like the Blu Ray turned out pretty clean. Not sure if it re-compressed it or not, but for the current purpose, it'll be fine.

Much appreciated - the Blu Ray was clean and I didn't see any artifacting or noise, so I'm pleased for now.

First batch of screeners that we'll be hand delivering to our sales agent early next week. Really looking forward to discussing our strategy moving forward.

Gearing up to launch our new online campaign for Searching for Angels (new title)!

Looks like a nice cover for the DVDs. Good that you worked out your burning issues. I must've missed the title change. Was that per request or did you all change it before it was purchased? Tieuel Legacy! Motion

Thanks tieul - sales agent request. Jane Doe wasn't marketable enough in foreign territories (read: didn't make sense - an english term). Reverted back to the original working title of the script and they thought it was a much easier sell.

Yikes, haven't posted in this thread in forever...still going through getting deliverables ready guys. Lotta work. Here's some recent press we garnered:

Unfortunately, deal fell through. Ah well, such is the industry I suppose! Live and learn.
