Youve got some great shots but was this meant to be a promotional teaser? I had the feeling the introduction did not really coincide with the shots as there was narration at the beginning did not coincide with the shots. Good work!
 
Googlyelmo - Yes, it was more or less a promotional teaser to create buzz while we were still deep in production. We will likely be coming up with a real trailer in the next couple months to really push the film, so stay tuned...lots of great footage!

Frame grabs/BTS photos added to the first page - sorry for the low quality...hard to shoot and get good BTS when shooting a skeleton crew. We'll have some better ones from our last few shoot days.

Not sure if you're comfortable revealing this or not, but I was curious what the budget on the film roughly was? Were the actors in ACTRA and paid accordingly or was it a non-union project? Was it shot over consecutive days?

Not a huge fan of the text (stylistically) in the teaser in the first post, but otherwise it looks pretty good. nice job.
 
Hey cyclonebill - at this point we're not revealing the budget, because it has yet to be finalized. It is a non-union project and we had a couple month block of shooting time in which we shot principal photography.

I completely understand where you're coming from regarding the text in the teaser (hence why we're looking for a title artist for the official trailer! PM me if you know someone), but the official trailer will be much more polished, I promise.

Was so confused! I do remember Mastermind being the thread starter. Didn't know you were on the project.

How far along are you guys?
 
Yeah! Mastermind is the director of the project and through DVXuser, I was brought on as a producer. We're pretty much wrapped principal and have a couple pickup days left to film. Post production has commenced and we're going to be cutting an official trailer in the coming weeks.

Really is an exciting time,

Hey Kholi,

Yes I started the thread but i'm obviously not the greatest at keeping updates going on here lol. I actually met Hunter007 through this thread and turns out we live minutes apart from one another. He came out to help a couple times on set and we meshed so well I brought him on as a producer for the feature.

Its cool to see how good working relationships can be built off this site.
 
It was pretty clean. We of course have some foley and post work to be done, but we understand the importance of good sound and as such had a dedicated sound guy for the duration of the shoot.

The trailer's starting to look really good! We've got our title artist on board and are now discussing how we're going to clean up some of the dialogue in the trailer. Excited to show you guys when its all done.

We'll be doing some BTS interviews next week with the director, myself, our sound guy and a couple of the actors - does anyone have any specific questions they'd like answered from the aforementioned people?

Just came back from meeting with Nadeem and looking over the trailer...WOW is all I can say! It's looking really good and its not even done yet! Should have picture lock on the trailer by next week, but then we have some audio post, titles and CC'ing to do before its released to the public.

Thanks Ryan! We've achieved picture lock for our trailer and its off to audio post. Also sent out for titling to be done - very excited to have the final, finished trailer to start shopping around.
