Jane Doe fundraiser / Extended Trailer Premiere

We'll be holding a fundraiser and a private screening of our extended trailer for Jane Doe on Teusday, Feb. 1st in Toronto.

If anyone from the forum would like to come if you're from the Toronto area and would want to make it out, shoot me an email at producer@janedoemovie.com with your name and email address and I'll send you an invite.

Also mention that you're from DVXUser.

Thanks and it would be nice to have some of you out there!!!

Okay guys, HUGE UPDATE!!

We've just signed with a sales agent - House of Film ( http://www.houseoffilm.net/ )! They're considered one of the top ten sales agents for indie features under $500k according to Film Specific (which by the way is an INCREDIBLE resource at any stage of production or post).

Basically what this means is that our film will be represented at EFM in Berlin next week, the Cannes film market, AFM and all the other big international film markets! We're super excited about this and if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

We've got a ton of momentum we're running with guys and we're not stopping until this film's done!

We're also running our IndieGoGo campaign here:

As always, any and all support is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks Marlon! Posted in your thread too...awesome work you and your team have done!

Thanks Martay. Yeah, these campaigns are always a tough sell, but since it is a movie, we're aiming for the lower rewards like DVDs and Blu-rays.

Hi Hunter007, I saw the trailer and have no connection with the film and never read anything about your production. I only saw your trailer as it was posted in another tread. I really think your team did a good job with the film.

I would really recommend making a 60 second trailer. The masses only want to see quick previews of upcoming movies unless they are already fans of a previous film. So sequels can have long trailers. Also maybe add some copyrighted music to your production. I am sure if your posting it on youtube they will add a purchase link anyway.

Anyway these are just suggestions. I decided to put my money where my mouth was and donate $20! So hopefully others reading this will do the same!

Good Job!

Nik Manning: We really appreciate it! Great feedback. I feel like that is likely where our campaign is suffering right now - with the length of our trailer. All the music used was licensed buy bands to use in the trailer, but I can see how it would direct traffic.

dre83: Our sound guys worked really hard on making sure the audio was clean. The trailer also went through audio post.

Keep subscribing guys! Big news hopefully next week!
