forgot to mention i'm shooting with "neutral" pictures style, contrast all the way down sharpness at 1 and saturation between -1 and -3.

RAndom question. I got a Glidetrack abut a week ago and have be testing it out, different mounting options etc etc...then this morning I was trying something new and suddenly (after having played with it a bunch of times) it finally hit me that this thing makes too much noise to be used practically on a film set unless you're shooting MOS. Well now that REALLY sucks. I guess had out sound recordist been here he would have picked up on it but i guess i was looking at it from a camera perspective.

Anyone know of any ways to quit this thing? i was thinking of throwing some wd40 on there however dont know if that will even help and though i'd ask if there are any other options someone may have come up with before i go with that.
 
I've read in another thread that it's common practice among film some professionals to spray some liquid Pledge (yes...the dust remover).

I'm about to post another topic on ultra-cons. i'm considering using them in conjunction with schneider classic softs. does anyone have any experience with ultra-cons and the 7d? in conjunction with classic softs or not?
 
Today's the first day of principal photography. I do have to say I'm more nervous that excited but I'm hoping that will pass when we get into the groove of it all. I'll be sure to update with production still, screen caps and eventually some footage.

great man. Keep it going. I Start a feature (my 4th) on March 10th. This will be my first film with the 7D so I will be reading this thread very closely. Can't wait man GET IT DONE!:kali:

So far so good with the shoot. I'll have a day off this weekend so i'll make sure i post a little tech review detailing any good or bad points of using this camera while on a shoot.

JANE DOE the movie teaser (a 7d feature film). Well here it is. We are about 40 percent in on shooting this film and I thought I'd cut a quick teaser. Basically doesn't say much about the story but just some visuals for people to see what we've been up to. I did a super quick CC job on this stuff but nothing extensive, mostly playing with levels.

If you have any questions about how I may have shot stuff or anything like that ask away!!!

Looks very nice! Especially like the shower stuff.

My only critique and it has nothing to do with your camera work is the toilet paper hat she's wearing at 1:25-1:26 hee hee hee. Heroin really DOES Eff you up. Just teasing.

Thanks. Yeah our key sound recordist is awesome. Its so key to have someone good doing sound.

In regards to vimeo i doubt i'll have one up for a while. My website guy just wants to have a single link for now.

It has overheated twice i believe but it was as simple as swapping out the battery and problem solved. thats also cus at the time we were shooting 60p. easy fix so not an issue form e.

I only have one body however for certain scenes we bring out a B cam, just so we can move faster. Not very often though.
