Is there a way to dump these SDHC cards without the use of a laptop while in the field?

If so what are the solutions?

there's one thats advertised as being able to offload p2 and sxs(via usb), along with sdhc, cf, and mmc. it doesn't come with a hard drive tho. someone posted about here on dvxuser, it may have been in either the hvx or ex1 section. i've been trying to find it but i can't.

does anybody have any experience with the Nexto ND-2700? sounds like a good deal. im thinking of getting an hmc150 but i want to be able to dump files RELIABLY without a laptop.

I've got an older 2525 which doesn't have the SD slot but does have a CF slot. It does a bit-by-bit file comparison after copying, so you can be pretty sure that it's made a reliable copy.

Here is the ULTIMATE solution, and is available for many years now. I won two of these, never had any problem. No laptop. Just back up to two devices and you have the reliability you need.

Good Luck.

Why not just buy a ton of SDHC cards? they are cheap. I have 4 16gig and 3 8gigs. In total they have cost me less than that device. Check SlickDeals for the best SDHC card prices.

Agreed.

I got mine for P2 card offloading, but for SD it almost doesn't make sense to go to an intermediary hard drive, now that cards are so cheap...
