After waiting since July to get a DVX (I was scammed) I have finally gotten it...

Here are some random grabs that i shot in a few minutes..not much to comment on..its just a test..

That was natural light from the sun...

honestly, the first one is beautiful. Number 3 and 4 don't really do anything for me, and your number 2 is pretty nice. I would have cheated a bit and added a bit more exposure/ light his side of the face, because the entire image is quite under exposed, and although you are going for that look, you need a bit more contrast between his face and the surroundings to make the image pop more and be more interesting. Right now its hard to make out any details, however if you could put a small light on the side of his face, that would make it golden.

Thanks for the comments..I had no intention of doing anything with the footage..these were 10 second clips just to test out the camera..

I will put it into consideration if this situation pops up.

or even toss a small light (vidled or something) on the laptop keyboard to give some motivated light from the screen. Just a hint of light on his face though. The first one is awesome.

Couldn't tell ya the shutter setting cuz i didn't check...I feel like such a noob saying this considering i've used camcorders like this for the past year or so.

Pic 3 and 4 were random shots sadly attempting to show DOF..I wasn't looking for any critical feedback cuz i didn't do it on purpose its all a test though.

Tons and tons of stuff to film around the house. When I got my DVX I was filming whatever, whenever!
