Screen loupe for Canon T3i and 60D?

Really, you like that little crane design? My buddy bought one, not only did it weigh a ton, it was crappy build quality, it literally lasted under a month.

I avoided ordering it for 5 months, from pictures it looked awkward and "klunky". But finally gave in and ordered the crane and 3x eyepiece (already had the loupe). I guess it's all in perceptions, I wouldn't say I "like" it, but for the T2i (and now the T3i and 60D it was the solution that worked best for me. No interference in any way with using Manfrotto quick release adapter and plates for rapid swap from shoulder rig to Manfrotto 503 head on tripod.

Maybe a defect, he had it on a 7d. I think the little metal bracket
that screws in the botton 1/4-20 would be the way to go.

For my 7D I use a CAVISION 6x loupe on a mounting setup with a "swingaway" adapter. Takes 3-5 minutes to setup and mount and "stays there" until I'm done shooting video.

I very much like the idea of that plate with 1/4 - 20 except to mount on anything else you've lost the big flat surface you need for stability. I was hoping someone would come out with that idea but using about 1/2 thick aluminum for a large flat plate with countersunk 1/4-20 bolt with a "slotted" head you could tighten/loosen with a quarter. But they didn't so I ordered the crane setup.

light weight, cheap, and no need to use adhesive. I just don't think it's a good Idea losing the option to close your lcd all the way.

I'm with you 100% on that one.
