Scarlet expected delivery time

I would like to order the scarlet and I am also in the middle of a documentary work, so I would like to be able to use it in this work, the thing is that it was was suppose to start shipping by now as you know. Any idea about this? if i place deposit this week , what could be the more less real expected delivery of the packet? has anyone receive it yet?

Check out Reduser - they have a number of threads of restless people who have already ordered. Red is now none comittal in a nutshell about delivery estimates. I get the impression that if you order now you probably won't get it as soon as you want. There are some parts low in the inventory such as side handle and other bits to add to the complication. Red have been over whelmed by demand me thinks. Just understand that it may be a loooooooooooooooooong wait of some months. There is a thread by Jarred about getting past the back order status by early next year I think.
 
Red said its "end of hurt" month should be February. So this means that delays can be expected until that time. I go further and expect my order to arrive merely in March. No problem, however. Its like buying a built to order car. To get it in the color, transmission you want and options you want you normally have to wait months. At least this is how I-m facing this. Have been playing around with the footage users are posting over there with the Free Redcine X pro software. Its like working in Lightroom/Aperture. Fantastic to see the possibilities the raw codec presents to you...
 
The wait is killing me. I feel "behind the curve" because I waited a week from the announcement to order the camera. So many great things are coming up in Jan. and Feb. that I would like to use the camera for. Oh well, I will shoot with what I have until then.
