Running Zoom H4N audio into camera

Is anyone doing this? If so, how? I know the AGC is a huge problem but was wondering if anyone found a workaround to this, I know I remember reading about it somewhere but couldn't find it.

Why would you take (presumably) nice clean H4N audio and send that through the camera's agc? makes no sense.

record your audio on the H4N, then sync to the camera audio in post. we used to call this double-system and it still works today.

Which is all well and good, except that you go from two usable record channels down to one. If you have two separate mics in use, it's much better to record them separately and then mix them to taste in post.

Yeah that would be silly- sync in post and preserve the good audio tracks discretely.
