Nice work. Very film like. Crane shot was neat, actors were believable. For the sake of knitpicking, the sound while the guy in the car was talking could have been tweaked and the sound effecst of the club hitting weren't quite right. All in all, I thought it was great.
 
I can't find and I could not make a better "hit" sound...gota listen to a highbudget feature and try to figure out how to get a good body hit sound!! LOL I know what you mean though...also for everyone, PLEASE don't listen on crappy laptop speakers etc, use some headphones i fyou have them..it will sound much better b ;_)

Tell us something about the settings, sometimes the dof looks like you used a 35mm asapter..is this right or wrong?

I wtched the other clips as well, liked 911 very much, also the effect of the car crash was real good quality.

I think ive seen some "dropouts" in the 911 clip (where the lady says "i need you to make sure..." did you record to the firestore or how did this happen?

Like i told you, would like to know more about your settings while shooting and postproduction..!

Not funny, at all. Kinda strange, actually. Then again, I'm not a fan of punchline short films.

Was the guy trying to be southern or something? His accent was weird. Maybe it was just his line delivery if he has a natural accent?

Nice crane shot at the beginning. At the same time, it seemed like they operator didn't know when and at what speed to lower it. Also, why was the copy not behind the car as it pulled into the lot? That actually threw me way off.

Image quality was pretty good throughout, nothing wrong with it.

Fun times.
 
I really enjoyed the film. However:

Did anyone else notice how white the cop's forehead is before he puts his cap on? It looks like the makeup person didn't put makeup on his forehead.

Also, don't motorcycle cops typically wear helmets? I haven't seen too many with the type of hat used here.

I know these are "nit picking" things. Just a couple that stood out.

The short looks great but the cop not being in the crane shot and then suddenly in the next shot already parked behind the car kinda threw me off...

Otherwise, I thought it was a funny short...

Didn't like the end credits...thought that you could have made something that fit in with the theme/look of the short...
 
End credits are exactly how I want them. handmade in Lightwave

Audio, well, I guess I could spend an extra 3-4 hours to nitpick every cut, but I don't think it needs it. Just MHO only.

That's a question I would have asked first, not waited for the actor to tell me...but I think it's an easy fix.

Maybe put the sound of a siren in the background as the car pulls into the parking lot. Then, in the next shot, put the sound of a motorcycle pulling up and turning off before you see the cop...at least it won't seem like he magically appeared out of nowhere...
 
I love it - did you use a film adapter ? How did you achieve that shaky camera when he was beating him ? It looked a lot better than some of the shake filters I have for FCP and AE -
 
Handmade shake in DIgital FUsion, keyframe by keyframe...;) it's the redrock, what else could it be? ;)
 
The video quality is really impressive. That must have been shot on the HVX with a 35mm lens adaptor, right? What did you do for color correction? And I love the crane shot!
 
Major color timing, used FUsion 5 gave it a "look" and made the highlights sparkle a bit as you can see, going for the french euro feel with the color.

I think this wasnt a "mistake" by make up but a joke..i saw it too the first time and found it funny..yapp!
 
I think it's just blown out highlights. You can see his cheeks are the same way but starts to diminish as he puts his cap on and gets closer to the car. As the shadow from his hat falls on his left cheek, it goes away.
A little perspiration and some sun on the forehead is all I think it is. COurse, I could be wrong. :)
