Waking up this old thread to check a thought that I had:
On a 550d body, would it be wiser to buy this lens with a Nikon mount + a Nikon to EOS adapter with focus confirm in order to have focus confirmation for stills, rather than directly an EOS mount lens? Would this work better?
I am considering an 85 mm lens for lowlight (stills & video), and if I am not satisfied by the performance of the Zeiss Jena Biometar 80 2.8 in Pentacon six mount (medium format) which is on the way, the next contenders would be the Canon EF 85 1.8 (with the advantage of USM for focusing stills) and the Samyang/Rokinon... 85 1.4. Any suggestions between these lenses are welcome too.
