Cool deleted scene shown at the Star Wars celebration.

It's going to be on the blu-ray but not cut into the film. That's Luke, right before he goes to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt.

[BLahey]

Man , I swear I've seen that before. I remember the part with R2 and luke in the cave...

[Justin Aguirre]

Good timing, this film is just starting on Spike HD for those of you living in the PST time zone.

Um...er...um...er...well...er...um...

[Sad Max]

What's funny is that the cave scene is referenced in the novelization.

Stills from this scene have been around forever, on trading cards, storybooks, in magazines, as well as written in the novelization.

I was reading about the new everything-ever (except of course the original theatrical cuts of the original films) release, where apparently this sequence will be cut back into 'Jedi.'

Really, reasonably clean transfers of the original cuts of the original three films are all I want out of Lucas. The rest of it's just filler.

[Brandon Rice]

I personally love this scene, gives a darker tone to the film. IMO

[David Jimerson]

Doesn't look like the camera work on Vader was all that steady, but it's legit.

[Michael Anthony Horrigan]

Very cool.

I really hope we see the original version on blu-ray soon, minus all the extra CG crap.

Don't hold your breath.

Unless you have freakishly voluminous lungs.
