Gibby, is the lens mount for RED going to be changeable by the customer? I was under the impression that you could only order one mount and it came with the order.

If I am right, are all of your lenses the same mount?

Apparently the stock mount is PL. RED has said they intend to make alternate mounts: B4, and potentially others. My RED 300, RED wide zoom , and cine prime will all mount via PL. I'll need to buy the B4 for the 2/3" HD ENG zoom. I'll also need to buy a Nikkor to PL adapter for my Nikkor lenses.

Mounts are interchangeable by the shooter. B4 will be late in release. PL, Nikon and Canon manual are 1st.

Interchangeable!? Wow.. I mean... Wow!! That is so major I am speechless. You can PICK your lens.. I really mean PICK the lens!!!

That's an amazing feature. I also like the fact that RED will make some decent money on things like this. (I assume one mount comes with the camera as per Gibby, and then you can buy more).

Well thought out Jim.. The possibilities for a feature like that are limitless

What about a BNCR mount as this is the most popular mount for Cine lenses after PLs.....anyone from the RED team have an answer for this?
