reliable vendor for hv200a--> broadwayphoto.com???

I eventually will buy the hpx170 but in the interim need to buy a hvx200a. Has anyone ever bought a hvx200a from broadwayphoto.com. I hear all the time about the rip off scam websites. I like their price of the hvx200a without the p2 card (3100.00).

I also was looking for a scout camera and could saw the dvx100b for $1600.

Both "look" like good deals especially the dvx. Most people seem to want $1900 to 2000 for their used dvx100b and they dont realize that AFTER REBATE from an AUTHORIZED dealer you can get the dvx100b for $2150. I would rather buy it new than gamble a couple of hundred dollars on something that is claimed to be in mint condition or has several hours of usage. But $1600 has a price delta that makes be want to take the risk..

any comments on broadwayphoto.com or is it another website with 50 other links where the price changes every 1 nanosecond (literally). please provide the facts.

The price they advertise is not what you will pay, as they will tell you that that item is back-ordered, and can they sell you a different package, one that includes the lens for more money. It is a scam set up to get you to call so they can sell you up to the right price and a gray market camera. Go to an authorized dealer like the ones mentioned above, you will be happier in the long run.

Major Scam operation. What I don't understand is how they continue to do business in the US and then continue to rip off people in the meantime. They must just start up new companies and continue the shananigans..


If it's too good to be true in terms of a camera, it always is...
 
Broadway Photo....aka Royal Camera, Prestige Camera, Digital Liquidators, and about 5-6 others.....The leader of the pack from Crook, er Brooklyn for scam operations. They are an official dealer for Nobody, not one of the big 4. The sad thing is, they buy up the back of all the magazines with lovely color pages and alot of people fall for it. As grey a grey market as you can get.
