redrock red carpet

Acclaimed Stunt Coordinator/Fight Coordinator and Actor BOBBY KING with an actress we are all still trying to identify and add to our next event EVITE list.

Did Tommy just say that he was talking to Brandon and developed excruciating pain in the back? Hmmph... um, never-mind.

I don't wanna' start quoting pictures because of space... but the actress with Bobby King has very nice posture.

I'm totally jealous of Jake's picture! Next time I'm gonna' try to hook THAT up... and uh... is it me, or is he FULLY in the moment!? That dude's a great actor! I notice that the photographer just barely cropped out another Fat Monster.

What can I say about Super-Mom? She is awesome... in the couple times I talked to her I could see where Luis got his excellent sense of... EVERYTHING!

I think people were expecting something more "penguinish" rather than the dapper fellow that you are. I gotta admit that you've got somewhat of a Hugh Grant-ish charm going for you Penguin. Glad you were able to make it and I hope to see you attend many more events down the road.

Thanks, Mark. I do like to dress up nice every once in a while. I had a good time, I just wish my appearance could match my sense of humor. Ahh...well...

You just tell me when the events are and I will try my best to make it work. After pulling that together, I don't want to miss any more.

Tommy, I don't know what to do about my back. I don't think it is as bad as yours but it still gets to me occasionally. Especially when I give up and sleep on my stomach when I can't fall asleep on my side. I know, tsk, tsk...I wish I had taken more pictures with other people, but I was only in that room for a little bit before being whisked into the theater and helping everyone out with set up, etc...which was fine, because that was a good time meeting all the folks in there. Are there any other pictures of me floating around on anyone's SD cards?

Some nice shots there. For a moment I thought some were photoshopped, but naw, it's legit.

Which provokes a question, for a local chuckle...

...have you guys in LA ever heard the phrase or term 'peeler' ?

..................................just wunderin.........................

//better toss a couple smileys on that. :) :)

Is there a west coast term beyond stripper?

And oh... the shots are legit man... I can attest... kinda' makes you wish you were in there somewhere doesn't it? The downside is... returning to "normal". :crybaby:

The FM experience is making me a zombie in STL.

I was intrigued by your apparent decision to be a "stealth" attendee, Tommy. What's the deal with the low profile anyway? I was looking forward to introducing you to some people but every time I turned around you were hiding out. And no pictures??? WTF? Dude, you gotta start being a little bit more self-promoting. You've got a great look and you definitely should be showing up in these pictures. It's hard for me to imagine you as self-conscious or intimidated but, jeez...... For there to be 9 Jack Stanley photos and NO TommyInLA photos kind of says something, man .....

Well in Tommy's defense, it wasn't entirely clear what was supposed to be happening that night. I missed that whole red carpet thing too. And it was only days later that I learned there was a "VIP" room full of studio executives and movie stars.

Ah, the plan worked. ...

Someone asked for names ... I don't know most of the others, but I can identify these two handsome devils.

On the left is my cousin Jessy who helped me when I DPd a friend's feature last summer ... he was invaluable on set, so it was a pleasure to bring him along ... plus he's a cool guy to hang with :)

But the rock star on the right ... that is none other than... ME! And yes, my hand is hovering over the keypad of my notebook with which I conversed in the online chat all evening (that's right ... in a room full of DVXuser's and I still couldn't pull myself away from dvxuser.com!!! ) :)

Like Mark, I really had no idea there was a "red carpet" area either. I believe there were about 5 or 6 of us who arrived a bit early and we just went in then made our way to the screening room. The only reason I knew there was a red carpet photo event was from reading this thread. I saw the title and thought to myself, "Wow. There was a red carpet event? How come no one told me about it?" The only reason I even knew a "VIP" room existed was because someone said "Oh, I think that's some sort of VIP room" to which I replied "Oh really? How do you know that?" and they didn't...

What plan was that?

Rockstar indeed.

Larry keeps so manythings running well around here and is often quite in the background about it, letting other foiks take most of the spotlight. So big ups for Larry.

Your cousin looks like he could kick my butt. Jessy is an appropriate name for him, is he in the UFC?

No, but he LOVES to watch UFC ... he's not as tough as he looks, but he's not afraid of a good brawl either :)

He really took to the film experience when I brought him on set with me last summer. I just knew he was a hard worker and he'd be a big help to me ... but as the days wore on (16 straight days, 12 - 18 hours a day) he got more proficient on set and often had my lights set up and mostly correctly in place for me without my saying a word to him.

You make it sound like it was a big secret Tommy. I saw you walk by the Red Carpet on three separate occasions. Besides, even if you got there before it was set up (which I don't think was the case) you HAD to walk right by it when you left and Brian from REDROCK was taking photos right up until 10:00 when Cinespace asked everybody to move out.

Perhaps this will refresh your memory:
