Red Scarlet footage anyone?

Just so people know, that article contains a a review, an .r3d to download, some screen grabs, and a 1 minute video of an actual feature film already in production using the camera. Not bad...not bad at all.

I particularly like the point of this quote - if his cameras were always falling to bits, he'd never had made it this far, much less be expanding.
If Red cameras were unreliable, I would have zero chance of ever sustaining a rental business and shooting movies overseas [in Vietnam]. It's not like I can drive down to Hollywood to pickup a backup camera. If my Red Epics gave me grief, I definitely would not have ordered the Scarlets. As of this writing today, I am currently managing five Red Epics and two Red Scarlets on seven different jobs all happening at once. This would be hard to do if they were "broken" cameras. - Tonaci Tran

As always, thanks Tonaci. Looking forward to seeing more!

Footage looks great! I think that with the arrival of the F3 a little while ago we finally reached the point of 'good enough' with these S35mm digital cameras - it's never been easier (or cheaper) to produce beautiful motion pictures - and that's good news for all of us.

I agree. You can't go wrong with either camera. Both rock but I must say I really like the "look" of the Scarlet footage.

Congrats to RED. They delivered the goods!
