I did order but im still wonder how to use the credit card? do you have to use the form they send or can you do it like online? Atleast its ordered.
 
Wow, this is quite a surprise. I definitely didn't see that one coming. This was far from a disappointing announcement. If I were Canon, Sony, or Arri I would be very very worried. :)
 
i put together everything in the
SCARLET-X Al Canon Mount Package that cost $14,015

and then put everything seperately in the cart starting with

SCARLET-X w Al Canon Mount / Side SSD $9,750

anyone want to double check and make sure im not missing something?

That's so on point and true! I checked into a hotel recently and had my sticks with me. The bellboy said he had a 5d and was a filmmaker too. Didn't know much or want to talk too much about anything other than the 5D. It's becoming quite a lot like the still photography business and that business just sucks.
 
Another exciting bit of news, I just got off the phone with Jeromy from Atomos and apparently they just tested the Samurai HD-SDI recorder with an Epic today and the results are terrific. I'm heading over there in 2 weeks to take a look at it. If the Samurai can give me high-quality 1080p in Pro Res from the Scarlet, that'll pretty much seal the deal for me (I have serious concerns about the ability of my current Mac Pro editing suite to handle Red Code footage).

It would also allow me to stagger some of my Red purchases to make putting together a full kit more achievable.
