Red Camera (photos)

HAHA! I bet I'll be at the show floor before those pics get up... LOL! Leaving in an hour... 3 hour drive... My car can make it there on one tank of gas (gotta love them 4 bangers)... puts me in Vegas around 4... floor closes at 6:30pm... I can see the Red today!
 
Have a good trip, Briceman. Dammit - I sure do wish I wasn't at the other side of the world right now. POST MORE PICTURES! ;-)

(I'm a pic guy... my memory card on my cheesy digital still camera can't keep up with me sometimes, hehe)

"A Lot?" I don't know any camera that does 4K images for under a bazillion dollars!!! Not to mention the HD stuff that costs $60-100K. :love4:

Las Vegas, NV (AP) -- Police in Los Vegas arrested a mask-wearing, camera-weilding member of a group calling itself DVXUsers after he allegedly was observed photographing a top-secret imaging device known to the public only as RED. Police would not comment on what the drug DVX is or why DVX users would be attempting to photogrph the RED device. As the DVX user was being placed in the patrol car, he was heard shouting "It looks like ... a thing".
 
The pictures of the cages on the RED website are mindblowing. Manliest looking camera i have ever seen. I think the Mysterium Sensor might be a precursor to SkyNet.

I don't know. With a camera that has roughly between two and five times the resolution of these cameras, all the same features, and that sells at a price point between roughly 1/4 to 1/2 as much, why would anyone chose the Varicam, Viper, or Cinealta again?

I might not be there physically but I'll be there in spirit! Take lots of picture man and post them up ASAP! I hope Matt enjoys his first trip to NAB! He'll for sure enjoy it. Have a safe trip up to Vegas and watch out for those water sprayers on the road! Remember what happened the last time... Hehehe....
 
I sure hope there's a hotel room somewhere with TC, a monkey, a hooker and bottle of Colt 45 to explain this.
Otherwise I'll have to think he's a big pic-tease. C'mon TC we need a "happy ending". :grin:

Jim chose to let the public in, mid-way through the development cycle. He has been completely open and honest about the challenges and the breakthroughs they've made and have yet to face.

I, for one, am extremely excited about the camera, and the people behind the camera. To be involved on the ground floor of such a revolutionary product, and the possibilities it envisages is well worth the wait, IMO.

"We will serve no wine before it's time." Makes sense if you're talking about a bottle of Rothschild, or a revolutionary priced and featured camera called RED.

Hey guys. Sorry I'm such a lame ass.

I tried uploading the pics to a number of servers MANY, MANY times. I got booted off the network, becuase they didn't like me trying to upload shite.

I will try again right now, but I might get booted again. I'll definitely get some up when I get back to the hotel.
