Ok thanks for that.
So I guess if you shoot a lot of POV stuff @ 18mm full frame you're shi# outta luck.
No they wouldn't.yes, same FoV and DoF, but they would look different.
Yes it does. You can get exactly the same look, the exact same perspective and FOV and DOF and everything. I did this a while back with my GH2 using the ETC mode -- you can set it in 1/2-2/3" mode with the ETC and zoom out to get the same FOV, and if you open up the iris to compensate for the DOF, nobody would be able to tell the difference between that shot, and one where you used the full cine-sized sensor, zoomed in for the same framing, and stopped down for equivalent DOF.Achieving the same DoF on 2/3" and S35 doesn't mean getting the same look
25mm f/1.4 at 2/3" FOV on a lesser quality lens, perhaps where stip gets "different" from. Ugly bokeh.
So someone else in communication with Jannard had his mail hacked. Not even the big man himself. Big deal. And I ask you how is it that Jannard always seems to know what Canon is doing in advance? Perhaps someone should look into that as well.
