Rebate question?

From what I can see from the documentation I got with my DVX (today, actually) there was a form with the manual for the DVX book and MB Software and a separate rebate form that B&H sent me... they also sent me two invoices. Man I love those guys.
 
I sent my rebate items in almost 2 months ago and the rebate company tells me (on the phone) that my rebate check has been cut but they're waiting for Panasonic to issue the funds to them.

Then they tell me it will be ANOTHER 6 weeks!
 
Mine says "in process" and I cashed their check three weeks ago. I wouldn't put all your eggs in there web page basket.
 
I hate to bump this, but what is the consensus on the average wait? I requested my rebate on 3/30/06. Still no check. Seems like people tend to be waiting longer than the 4-6 weeks Panasonic says is the average wait . I'm coming up on 3 months and I see Anthem waited 3 months at the time of his posting too. Anyone wait much longer than that?
 
i'm somewhere around 10-11 weeks, i'd have to check to be sure, but so far no light at the end of the tunnel. And i could really use that check too, a rode ntg-2 would be so nice right now.
 
I'm one (1) day over the "expected" 6 week period, and no sign of the check yet. The ACRebate check site still shows CHECK IN PROCESS. Seems to me that someone at Panasonic must have gotten sick, and everything is behind! :)
 
I just got my check today. The date requested was 3/16/06, the date processed was 3/22/06. It took 12 weeks for me to get mine. It wasn't untill I called the toll free number (866-339-4296) that I was told the check was being mailed out the next day. I got it 3 days later. Now in the terms and conditions of the rebate it says that the checks are void after 90 days of issuance. I'm not sure if that's changed, but on the actual rebate check, it's an 8 month time period. I guess they realized that Panasonic screwed up big time and is falling behind on getting people their money.

Apparently there was a mixup if you requested it during that week in March. I think I requested mine the day after yours and I haven't gotten it yet. I'll probably get it today, I was told it should be here this week.

yeah same here, we both purchased our cameras around the same time. I think it is about time we organize a call in.

well untill then, back to getting mac os to run on my pc!
 
My check showed up yesterday evening when the mail person _FINALLY_ decided to show up with my mail. (After the banks were closed of course!)

Rebate intiated on 05/02/06, Processed on 05/03/06, and check arrived on 06/19/06.
 
3-24 till 6-20, but i finally got my rebate! and thats from newegg so everyone that said new egg wasn't authorized apparently it is, $200 less than the next best price plus the $400 rebate. I'm happy!
 
Hey guys, i just got my check today, and i was not expecting it at all. i purchased my camera on 3/22/06 and my check was processed on 3/29/06. I also checked on line and the status of the rebate center has not been updated, as it still says Check in Process. So i would say that the online site is usless, as far as updates are concerned. Well i am stoked, it is time to put that 400 dollars towards my debt for my camera.

J5 i would expect your check any day now.

Oh, the check came in an envlope from the advertising checking bureau, inc.
 
Seems like Panasonic is pretty slow about getting the rebate check out. Are they equally slow about getting the DV book out? I'm still waiting for both.
 
Not to rub it in but man, I must be lucky. I just got mine in the mail yesterday. I submitted it on 5/18 - it was processed on 5/24. The rebate center still says in process for mine as well.
