Rebate question?

I entered my rebate info onto the online rebate form back when it was still up on panasonics website. There had been a site to check the status of my rebate that i would check now and then and it had said that the check was in progress. Now when i check it it says "no rebate information available." I still haven't recieved a check. I tried looking for info on panasonics website of a number to call but couldn't find anything regarding the rebate. What should i do? Should i download the new form and try sending it in that way? Should i just try getting ahold of panasonic on the phone (i imagine that will take hours not knowing what dept to call)? I'm suprised i have never recieved an email or anything from panasonic about the status of my rebate.
 
OK i just checked mine out and it still says check in process. So, do you think it is possible that you just typed in something incorrectly. If not i am curious because i purchased my camera around the same time as you did. hopefully jan can shed some light on the subject.

LOL goodness don't i feel like a fool. I posted that very late at night and after the first time getting no info found i was a bit startled and must have also entered my info wrong the following time. So yes i just checked again and it found my info this time. My request date was 3/24 and it says it was processed on 3/29, how long does it take to recieve a check normally?

hopefully not too much longer, i know that 400 dollar check will help take a dent out of the 2 loans i had to take to get this camera. But, seriously, i believe the site mentions a 4-6 week delay to dispurse the funds.

Not only could i use the money, i'm anxious to see that i actually DO get my rebate. I bought my camera from newegg.com for about $200 cheaper than i had seen it at any of the other big name places online. Many have said that Newegg wasn't authorized and i wouldn't get my rebate, though i've also had many tell me it is authorized. Assuming my rebate does go through as it appears to, i'll have proof newegg is the place go buy at!
 
Not to hijack a thread, but since this is about the rebate... I noticed in my DVX box a yellow piece of paper to fill out and mail back to Panasonic (For the $400 rebate), but then there was another piece of paper that you could mail in, or go online and enter the info that said it was to claim the DVXBook/DVD and the Magic Bullet Editors software. Just to be clear on this, both need to be done to get the $400 and the book/dvd/software, right?

I mean i also ordered mine from newegg as well. I mean i have ordered at least 6k worth of stuff from them, excluding the camera. But, we may have to do this manually, and keep tabs on Panasonic.

Curtis_Rhoads, when did you purchase your camera. I have this theory, that states if the camera was packaged and purchased before Panasonic discontinued the online rebate promotion, the purchaser will not receive that yellow sheet of paper.

As for me, i was able to fill out the rebate while the online promotion was still valid. But, i know that fraud has been such a serious issue, that they may have discontinued the online promotion prior to the removal of the site. If, this is the case, J5 squared, BillP, and my self, will have to do this thing manually.

J5 squared and I, will have to contact Newegg and have them send us an invoice form. Jan mentioned to me, that Newegg's packing list does not constitute an invoice.
 
I purchased the DVX100B on 2/28/06 from Rush at EVS and promptly submitted my $400.00 dollar rebate request on line at the Panasonic web site. I also mailed in all the forms etc. So far it has been eight weeks, as of today and still no check. My status at the Panasonic web site says, "Check in process" which has not changed since day one.

I did receive the book and software the same week I sent in the forms. That was a nice surprise.
 
Anyone know if there a panasonic number we can call or anything to speak with a real person about the status of our rebates? That would be nice instead of just a webpage that never changes.
 
We purchased a DVX100B from EVS on 02/17/06. Submitted the rebate on-line and soon after the web site said "Check in process" with a check number and other information. We received our rebate check today (04/28/2006).

From what I understand, the rebate company processes the check and then waits for 'funding' from Panasonic. When they finally get the funding, they release the check.

There is a number that you can call if you go to the Panasonic website, Business, AG-DVX100B under rebates and promotions (I think it says "Over $850 in Cash and Accessories"). Check under terms and conditions or to download the claim form and the phone number is there. You might have to leave a message but they will call back.

I don't know if it's O.K. with Panasonic to post the phone number here, so that's why the description above.

Got my DVX from B&H at the end of Feb. No rebate paperwork
was included. When you apply for the rebate does the book and DVD
get sent autromaticaly or do you need to submit a specifc form for the
book?
 
I just got my rebate today, and it is wrong. I only received $200, when I was supposed to get $400. I brought this to their attention before and they said they would fix it, but obviously they didn't. I also have not received the book or Software. I've called and e-mailed several times with no luck. I'm not having a good experience with this rebate stuff.
 
Hey guys. My first post here. (Have been having log in problems the past 2 months.) I just wanted to give a definitive schedule of my rebate experience, but of course I dont have all the info.

Purchased 100B at EVS: 2-27-06


Online rebate form filled out: 3-1-06
and filled out the online rebate form some time that week (a date I cant find. We'll say 3-1)

Recieved Book, DVD and Magic Bullet: 3-15-06
(or thereabouts. I dont know the exact delivery date, but I remember it was about 2 weeks as I was excited that the rebate process seemed to be moving quickly)

Recieved $400 rebate check: 4-28-06

So purchase to check in hand was 8 weeks. All in all a painless experience. Sorry to hear of other's troubles.

Glad to finally be on the boards, I look forward to participating.

ADDITION: RobertE's posting above reminded me of something - The check was DATED PRE-3/15 (I dont remember exact date). It struck me as a little odd difference between check date and delivery date.)

I purchased my dvx100b from B&H on Feb 2, received it on the 4th, submitted my claim that night, and still no rebate check.

I've checked my status before, but now I can't find where to check my status again. Could anyone email me the link?

Does this link work when checking the status of a mailed rebate form, or is it just for the online rebate application?

My info returns nothing when I use this link.
 
When I type my name and area code in it states that back in April 25th, my supplied serial number was invalid. However, now it says that on May 2nd it was processed and that a check was mailed out on the 3rd of May...what a coincidence I decided to check today....
