A friend called me today with a C300 mk2 question that I couldn’t answer. We discussed over the phone and I had my camera in hand and looks like I confirmed his suspicions.
It looks like if one has a custom camera profile selected in the menu ( one that was user created or dowloaded whichever) and then you step back in the menu and activate one of the factory presets, lets say C Log 3 - 709, that the 2 camera profiles can stack one on the other with some funky effects. I had been turning the factory presets to off, then activating my custom preset which was ok. He was using my custom profile and had a factory preset selected and it seemed like the color profiles were stacked one on top of the other.
Only by toggling the custom preset to a vacant position and then selecting a factory preset, were we getting exactly what we expected as results picture wise.
So to sum up. Either have a factory preset selected with custom profile set to some empty memory slot, OR custom preset selected with factory presets set to off.
I had been following the latter scenario and getting predictable results and he had been been shooting with both a custom preset enabled and a factory preset enabled and getting terrible results .
Any thoughts on this and has anyone else noticed this issue?
