GH2 Ready Rig - Anyone Seen This Yet?

This is pretty interesting. At first, I was like wtf but after seeing him mount the camera, it makes sense! $795 nice :)
 
Yea I saw it on their site, this is pretty nice. I'm trying to search for a sample video shot with this thing :)
 
functionality :), imagine pushing through a crowd with a steadicam setup. If it can perform as stated, this is a good buy:)
 
Sorry, doesn't look balanced to me. Floaty yes, balanced no.
Noticed too he is looking at the back of the camera for framing, but he still has the viewfinder on!
I have spent a fair amount of time steadycamming, and sorry to say all of this looks pretty amateur to me.

I think he is going to need a generation or two to up the build quality, make it more ergonomic and balance the thing out properly. My .02 anyway...
 
In my experience, most of the stabilization products that actually work include sample video using the contraption in their pitch.
 
I actually like the product but... "it needs to be bigger"! Think Sigourney Weaver in Aliens and her Exo-Skeleton. That should do it.
 
Absolutely no test footage anywhere. Youtube channel, all their demo videos. None. Anywhere that I could find. Really, is it that hard to shoot some test footage? No. It's not that hard. So I can only come to the conclusion that this device is crap, or at the very least, it's not ready for mainstream production yet.

I saw a comment on their video that test footage is coming next week (should be this week) but yea, how hard is it to shoot a simple test.

Charles, great movements. Are you located in Malibu? I will purchase in a couple of weeks (just spent a bunch recently). If you have any discounts for dvxuser members, it would be great. Thank you for the demo video :)
