Ramjet Films presents "Re-Birth"

Sorry, guys. Things keep coming up. I'm going to make a real concerted effort to get these last scenes shot. I told leo that I would give him two weeks for score, so if I can't get this stuff shot tomorrow so I can try to finish editing, I may just have to send him what I have. At least I'll have something to put up (if I want to). I'm not sure now. Unfinished and such. grr.

I'm crossing my fingers man. I'm dying to see this in any form, good or bad:Drogar-Evil(DBG): (and I'm sure that it isn't bad at all)... don't leave us hanging:) .
 
Come on Jason...you can do it man. You are almost there, just need a few more fill in shots to put all the pieces together. You can't quit now!!! It is better than you think, trust me.

Just get those shots and finish this thing, on time!!

Jason, don't let anything stop you from this. Even if you KNOW that you can do better work. Completion is such a hard step. Just do it, baby!!!
 
I'm gonna try. I really need to get this thing off to Leo, though. I don't want to make him have to rush. Because of that, I may just have to send it off as is to him. Without the other couple of shots. I'll either leave the space and give a description, so he can score those little sections "blind" or I'll just have to leave them out, and put up what I got (with my taile between my legs) :thumbsup:

When Leo scored my Hero Fest entry, I sent it off to him with a couple scenes unshot. I just put place holder shots so he knew how long they would run and put text on the screen describing what that shot was.

Then he was able to get to work on the score while I scrambled to do a couple pick-ups for the final shots.

That's good advice Larry. That's probably what I will do. While it's being scored, hopefuly I will be able to get a couple of missing shots.

I'll get it up in some form, anyway. Finished or not. Just so I can say I did it.

Well. Good News and Bad for me.

I'm going to have to withdraw from the festival. Some things have come up, and I was behind already, and I'm not going to be able to finish this piece in time for the festival.

I hate that I am doing this, as it was dissapointing everytime someone dropped out.

The other news though is that I am going to pursue a more fleshed out version of this story. There are some details I would like to fill in, and some places that I would like to flesh out. I have been talking with Larry and he has expressed interest in helping to rework and expand this script with me. This will be a complete re-shoot. maybe you will see this flick in the user-films section in the future.

Because I am withdrawing, I wanted to at least put a little someting up. So, last night, I edited togethor a rough little teaser trailer from the footage that I did have.

Well, I was sad to hear the news as that means officially none of my scripts will be in DramaFest after all :crybaby: , but I understand Jason's reasons for pulling out and am excited about the possibility of expanding this story.
 
Oh no! Say it aint so!!! Sorry to hear this, Jason. I really liked the script that you and Larry put out.

I will check out your link for sure.

That's too bad to hear Jason (I hope things that came up are not too serious). I look forward to the expanded/revised version when you get to it. But don't feel too bad, some times life is a little more important and it will at times get in the way.
