I took my new 7D out on a little nature hike last night. I actually had no intention of shooting video on my hike, but it proved to be way too much fun. I absolutely love this camera.

Apologies if you're not a fan of lens flairs, cuz I like 'em. Shot entirely handheld with a the occasional dash of smoothcam added in FCP.

Lenses:
Canon EFS 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

Music by Fanfarlo.

Nice images! These videoDSLR's are not perfect, but it seems pointless to really complain and notice when you can do things like this with them. I just keep thinking what most of us would have paid 5 years ago for cameras that can do what these are capable of...and we would have taken the shortcomings gladly.

Sorry. I digress :)

Really nice work. Makes me so homesick. A beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest is a special thing and you did it justice.

thanks for sharing.

Nice stuff! Liked the warm colors. How do you like your Tokina 11-16mm 2.8? How's the image quality and DoF with it?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. neodjr, I'm digging the Tokina lens. I've only had it for about two days, but it's super sharp and has a nice (and noticeable) contrast.
