Question for EF-S Lens.

[payal_choksi]

hi all,

i have a question to ask. I want to ask about EF-S Lens, we will take canon ef-s 15-85mm lens as our example. now this is an ef-s lens, so does 15-85mm refer to APS-C senor or does this number refer to FF sensor? in other words, will one get 15mm as wide on ef-s lens or does one have to convert for aps-c cameras?

kindly enlighten,

regards,

A 15mm lens on APS-C will have the same field of view of a 24mm lens on full frame. It doesn't matter if the lens is designed for APS-C or full frame: 15mm is 15mm, and 24mm is 24mm. More here: http://www.similaar.com/foto/doftest/doftest.html
