PUSH - Directed by Matt Sconce

Man, I need a trailer... :undecided

Based on your descriptions of these fantastic devices your building I figured your next project would be the Hyper-Grip Trailer™

I'm excited to see the finished film and looking forward to making my way down to your guys' location one of these days soon so I can see these fantastical tools for my self.

Please come see us work. We really do a good job and have fun too.

Actually, I do have a trailer half-way built. LOL! The Hyper-dude-tow-pull-hauler-dragger. (I know, we do have fun with the 'Hyper' name.)

Matt... Bring your hi-res monitor for the Hypercam since we are using the HVX. Charge and bring all your batteries too. Also, will Mark need your tripod?. Just for fun bring the dolly and rails too. :2vrolijk_08:Shoulder mount too... Aw heck bring everything!

I will be going by Lowes this afternoon to get 14/3 wire cord and 4 plugs... Call if you need anything from there. :kali:

That first grab is too damn small. I can only see about half the pores on that guy's face.

:)

Still Laughing! Great post. Yeah, the Red Camera can really shoot detail can't it? I personally have very good eyesight, and could see the bacteria IN the pores of his face. What is more amazing is the Red Epic will shoot even better! :Drogar-Mark-01(DBG)

Whew! Visual effects are coming together. mark had some great ideas that are taking a scene near the end to another level!

I posted on Mark's thread and wanted to also post here Matt. You guys are really illustrating the joy of indie film making. It's so great to see your dad involved and his enthusiastic posts make you feel like you know the guy without ever meeting him. Just wanted to give all of you props for being so positive and so dedicated to your projects as a team -- and as a big family. Good luck and thanks for the inspiration!

Boy, 'another level' won't do that scene justice, from your description of it to me. Neat-oooooo! Fantastically spiffee! Spifftabulously kawabungalicious!

HYPERCAM UPDATE:
The leverage issues with my initial design of the Hypercam found on the Netherborn shoot will be fixed by this weekend. I just have to move the overall camera weight closer to my body to minimize the angular torque on my vest. My initial thought was to place the spring arm in line with my forward movement... But now I see that placing it so far to the front has disadvantages in creating a lever arm of torque on the cameraman shortening the time for the shot. Since our human (and with some alien... Troy...) bodies are much stronger closer to our torsos, I have to move the arm in.

Since I am a basically as lazy as I can get away with (aren't we all), I will rebuild the device to cause less force on me, and allow a longer shot with less rest inbetween. My warped mind is also spinning around on ideas generated in a discussion Mark Aro and I had on materials selection for the final arm.

The vest and the sled were wonderful though. Tally-ho cut-off wheel... grinder away! :violent5: :badputer::kali:

The Hyper-Fly Rig was a tremendous success. We now have a highly functional, portable, sturdy universal fly rig/flying camera mount for any shot up to a fly of 25 ft up (or down) and 100 feet long. YAY!

Thanks Mark. We have been having a blast this time around in Time Fest. I remember how I felt basically like a one man band (My dad helped too) back in the days of Stricken for horror fest,
http://www.strickenthemovie.com
and it is awesome to be surrounded by so many amazing people for Push. I am loving helping with Netherborn and Impossible Race as well. When all is said and done, We of Fresno, will have helped eachother make three amazing and completely different movies. I know when we have our premiere, we will have created amazing memories and stepping stones toward the future of our careers.

Everyone move to Fresno! Lets make more movies! Woohoo!:dankk2:

You hear that Jack Daniel Stanley! Move here dang it!

That goes for you too Mark!

What a good speach. My kids are always quoting a similar one from Catscratch i think.... um um "Hello class of 1998 this is where we say goodbye to our school and hello to our Future.... Making French-Fries!" It's not as funny without the voice. Oh well... at least it is not a tutu wearing Sumo....

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! You brought up the TutuSumo! Nooooooooooooo!:kali:TutuSumo

Optical pollution.

Matt, when you find out shoot times and locations for this Friday, give me a call.

Hypercam update: I am cutting metal for another arm that will be an alternative to the heavily constructed Red cam arm; for the DVX and HVX. I am looking at making an ultra-light design. It will use the same vest and sled. More later. Low angle rig will be used on Impossible Race during this Saturday's shoot. Wait 'til you see what we do with it!

Two quick BTS shots from my dads Digital video cam: (aspect is messed up but oh well. I have bigger fish to fry. A render is going right now for some VFX in Push.

For the uninitiated: Top frame: Lead Actor Kenn Arola with Director Matt Sconce directing the Red Camera shot. Kenn is big guy, around 6'3" tall, an Army Iraq war veteran and an acomplished martial artist. Great casting by Matt.

Lower frame shows 'sandbag mounting' of the Red on the floor with cameraman extraordinaire from Blair Media Justin shooting up at the actor. On top of the Red is the large, heavy battery (trust me on that one) and the empty bracket for a hard drive on the rig. In the background are Troy, Randall and Ian... with no heads.

I joined in the protest of Mark not posting grabs. I had to hold my nose to post the tutusumo though... EEEEEEYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUU! :Drogar-Mark-10(DBG) His grossness is beyond all horrific nightmareishness. :zombie_smiley:
