PUSH - Directed by Matt Sconce

Silly people! I am excited about Saturday sound editing with Mike. Sound will make Push come alive!

Yup. I am always interested how believable effects and action become when there are appropriate sounds associated with the action. Many film makers don't pay close enough attention to their sound and the result is less believability in the dialog and action. Well, you know that; winning 'Best Sound Design' for Stricken at the Action on Film Festival!

I am internally bracing all four plates on the Hypercam arm tomorrow and initiating a better tubular structural lock on the sled. Should solve that tiny wobble problem. Interesting that it only showed up when the unit was loaded and on the standard rig. Mid and low rigs were perfect.

That is true. Sound is the first thing that will kill a movie. If the picture is a little dodgy, but the story sound and music rock, the audience will forgive you but if the story rocks, the picture is beautiful, and the sound sucks...you are doomed.:nads:

I will try my best with Mike to make the sound rock.

Hypercam update sounds awesome! Keep up the good work! Woohoo!:2vrolijk_08:

Balance Grasshopper. The key is dedicate some time to your wife where most of your brain is focussed on her... then the HyperCAM... If she is happy, then it will be easier for you to focus, problem solve and anything else.... Balance is good, with the hypercam and especially with marriage.

Arigato Aro-sama... But mastuh, it is needed! (9 to 5 Ninja)

I was able to get my hands on some perforated really lightweight steel stock and it will fold into the arm side corners to internally create a skeleton. With a little triangulation and physics mumbo jumbo design, it should be ready after Saturday. Sorry Blair guys. I really wanted to help. Next project count the Hypercam in, gratis.

Say did Mark get to see the top secret complete photos of the Hypercam in action: Sled, vest and all, or did he just see the 'can't see squat' teaser photo? I will be interested to hear what he thought of the overall complete package all dressed up in it's paint, stickers and glory. I really liked the running shot. Doesn't the sled look cool?

Oh, and I am redesigning the top of the vest to widen the shoulders a little so big guys won't feel scrunched.

Gary, I thought the images were awesome I can't wait to get my hands on it and play around with it. Already I am thinking... Man we need more than one of these... but let's work out the details on this one and then wait for v2. Once I can touch it and play with it a bit, I would like to talk to you about possibly taking a different approach for future versions. I don't know if you knew this, but Mike used to weld wheel chairs for Sunrise Medical, the Makers of the QUICKIE brand wheel chair and being an avid cyclist for most of my life (closet now... man I need to get back on the bike) I was thinking that we may be able to take some cues from bike construction. We will talk more off-line, but I have a few things milling around in my head that might add to the mix. Again, this is a later version, I don't mean to step on your toes, but you have started something here that is so exciting to my brain. Again, this is much later down the road.

Again, I can't wait to get ahold of it and play around. I don't know if I mentioned but a friend of ours is and engineer that has had some experience with getting stuff pattened. Once we get to that point, we need to talk about that and some of the other things that you have in your brain.

Boy I can't wait till we can do this stuff full-time and get paid for it!

Well, the second one will be a made sometime in the future. I'm still perfecting this one. My toes don't hurt with any suggestions you may have. Add your ideas now so I can weigh and incorporate them into this model. More useful=better. :D Better=more options for film creativity. More creativity expressed on film=more enjoyment for the viewer=possibility of film ideas produced=Mark getting paid for this full time. See?

Cool... We'll talk.

Please note... MARK, GARY, MATT and MORE get paid fulltime.... that's the plan!

Somehow in Planning for and leaving on his vacation, Justin Durban put together most of the rough pass of Push's score. I sat down to listen and synched it up with the movie and was floored! It fit beautifully and gave the movie the power I had invisioned and hoped for. I have to admit that on a certain moment of epic scale, the music even brought a tear to my eye as I saw the realization of a lot of hard work take final shape. Thanks Justin! I look forward to hearing more after the vacation!

So it is now a proven fact...Justin Durban = Ubercool

I think he is an alien... :2vrolijk_08:

Seriously, I am always amazed that music guys and gals can just pull some stuff out of thin air.

Haven't looked at a lot of the threads in a while, but I just saw those grabs and they look amazing.

Can't wait to see how those scenes turn out in the final cut.

VOICES are in! Woohoo! All sound will be done by the 8th!!

I was lucky enough to see the rough sound cut version and it is looking good Matt.

What was with the guy saying, "...These aren't the droids we are looking for..."? :cheesy:

HYPERCAM UPDATE! Matt, Mark, I have rebuilt the Hypercam spring arm and am beta testing the revised rig Tuesday night. I completely rebuilt the vest and it is now amazingly comfortable. More later.

Here is a sneak peak at the coolness that is the Hypercam. Just a little more developmental tweaking and it will be good to go. Dad! It is amazing!

Ready to go for NETHERBORN!
