i shot it in 24p 1/500. no lighting or anything and edited in fcp and cc with fcp color correction. took about 40 minutes total. 20 to film, 20 to edit

Good stuff :) I love me some sigur ros!

The transitions for the text at the end, that yellow orange flash thing-a-ma-bob, is that just like something standard with FCP?

I'm actually working on a video to a sigur ros Song right now, I'll post it when its done. But good job man, keep up the good work

good except needs to be shorter...shouldn't be more than 30 seconds...I didn't time it...but it felt to long.

yea we didnt really have a time limit or anything its actually a class for begginers so i didnt put a full effort into it. but for the orange flashy things, thats stock footage of a fake film burn

Great job and great message ... and coming from the right people--teens themselves! Just one thing though ... I tend to be a stickler for these things. In your first bit of text where you said "Drugs don't only effect you" or something like that, the word should be spelled "affect." Common mistake.
Great stuff--especially by 15-16 year-olds and with a stand-in for your original partner.

You can make fake film burns easily with orange construction paper and a sink. They don't look perfect but they work. What you do is, fill your sink up half way with water and put the construction paper in and film the paper. Bring it into your NLE and put a contrast filter on it to get the desired effect. Mess around with it and let me know how it works for ya.

wow man! sweet...I saw some wrong things with it...but hey no one's perfect

for example...there is a shot of him from chest up and the background is just gray clouds. you have to watch with shots like that (it was a quick one but still). Make sure you show interesting backgrounds...it can be out of focus so the attention can be on the actor, but you always need to make the visual appealing to the eye...

I love the contrasty look...the shot of the fence and his finger going across it...it's sort of the look a go for...high contrast...Bay Film style. Good job man!

P.S. where did you get the song from?
