It's not that the lyrics are simple... It's just that they're dumb. Really dumb. The Black Eyed Peas, for example, are masters of simple lyric club music. But they're somewhat clever and original. Or even the song "Shots"... painfully simple, but it has a tongue-in-cheek satirical feel to it. This Dev girl is just boring and dumb, maybe she should lay of the cough syrup and tattoos.
