Prologue to my WW2 movie "The Bridge"

A little montage I made with the footage I've already shot for my short film The Bridge. There are a few unfinished vfx shots but they should look great on the final piece. Enjoy!

Shot on a 5D, 7D, & XH-A1. Lenses used 35, 50, 85, 100mm primes and 24-105 zoom.

Edited and colored in Final Cut Studio 3.

From your other thread, which is why I'm curious as to which is which.

Does anyone have contact info on the male talent in this film, would love to cast him, and the person behind the scores.

How about the guy who scores? I'm sure he's capable of working on more than one project at a time. Lol. At any rate Been wanting to work with these guys since I seen your first projects. They ad so much to your production. The actor has the potential to become huge and I want a piece of the actio before his rates are off the chart.

Composer is Justin Durban, he's a fellow dvxuser.

this is hands down the most beautiful/filmic looking footage I have seen from the 7D thus far. And I watch a lot of 7D footage. You are a great cinematographer. You should be proud.

You also may have convinced me to get a 7D. So canon will be thanking you.

Hint: Theres only one shot in there with the A1. Come on, its a fun game... GUESS!

Ooooh I wanna play!!!

I'm gonna say the shot of the fleet at 00:27 is the XH-A1
The shots of the girl on the beach are 5DmkII
The rest is 7D

The colors on the shots of the girl are freaking gorgeous man!
Excellent work :)

Outstanding! Best I ever saw of a 7D.

Great framing and grading.
Instantly gives you the impression that you look at a Hollywood feature movie.
Like that Band of Brothers feel.

Thanks man, remind you though... it's still a WIP and it isn't even the final color work... and you haven't even seen the best footage yet!

Looks really good. Films like this push me towards a Canon!! Only thing I noticed and this has to do with the script. In WWII soldiers didn't fly home. They took ships.

Maybe he meant it metaphorically... in his excitement, he wishes he was like a bird so he could fly home... :P

Hey birds don't pack bags!! LOL. Just a historical point and not a big deal since most people wouldn't even think about it or even know. Again nice job

Maybe bags is a metaphor for all the baggage that comes with a soldier after being through the hell of war!
