Problems with imported P2 files

Hi guys,

back again. You may be interested to know that my recent problem with not being able to connect my HVX via firewire seemed to go away when I tried a new firewire cable (thanks for the suggestion).

However, my other problem still remains, though I thought it seemed better suited in the workflow forum.

I now have all my footage from 2 16G P2 cards on my hard drive, but when I try to import them in FCP, I'm told that it can't do it because it suspects that 'one or more files is either incomplete or corrupt.'

I've tried picking just one file that I know to be complete, but I still get the same message.

I've done this a ton of times on my work machine with the same camera.

Any ideas?

cheers

FCP sometimes just fails to import perfectly good files. You can get around that by using Raylight or P2 Log Pro instead of FCP's log & transfer.

Also making sure you have the latest round of updates for OS X and FCP. The 16GB cards can cause some issues with older systems.

Just popped by to clarify for future people searching for solutions, that my problem was solved by doing an update search on FCP and getting the latest version.

Thanks for all the tips folks.
