Okay, so I got a DVX100a recently, and my mom got me a telephoto and wide angle adapter, and they're quite big, they screw into the front of my camera and really look more like lenses without f-stops. The wide angle really widens things up, but unfortunately I have to zoom in a little so that you don't get that barrel effect on the corners where you can see the lens (any other ideas on how to get past this?)
My question is this. When I'm using the wide angle lens, and I zoom in for DOF, I end up with like a blur or something on the sides of the frame so that things will end up out of focus when something right next to them is in focus. I thought it might be dirty so I cleaned it, but that's not the problem. has anyone had this problem, or is it a problem with my adapter and should I go ***** the company out? Or is it a wide angle's nature to not be able to look good in zoom and I should do all my DOF shots without it? I'm kinda stuck, any suggestions are welcome.
