problems reading P2 card in FCP

Hi guys,

I am trying to import my P2 card from the camera in to FCP (version 5.0.4). FCP is reading the card but when I go to import-panasonic P2 and try to import, I get the error 'One or more P2 clips failed to import; probable incomplete or corrupt clips'. I have clips on the card in 1080i/24 and 720p/24 and it gives me the same error no matter what clips I try to import.

I have also tried a different P2 card to see if there was a problem with the first card, and still the same error.

Can someone give me a solution to this problem? I am new to the P2 format so I could use any suggestions.

I had the same exact problem. You need to update to at least 5.1 to work with the P2 cards. It didn't make much sense to me either, considering there's an option to "import P2 card".
