I am working on a short 4 minute project that might end up on a major network ( fingers crossed).

Now does anyone know the exact steps I need to ensure a smooth delivery?

My footage was shot at 1920x1080p at 24fps. Any help or even specific places I need to go to , to read is greatly appreciated

Thank You

First things first. What format does the network require? Once you know the answer to that question, it will go a long way to providing the answer.

That's a start, thank you. I will contact the network personally. The project is a music video which I am assuming would want to go to Mtv, Bet, etc.

If anyone has ever worked with these Major Television stations please share your expertise here or contact me through Pms. Thank you ant and everyone for help!

found this...hope it helps some. best i could do for now.

Edit: from 2008. I'm not sure if anything's changed.

Thank you for the link, seems like a lot of work. I think this is something that should be taken to someone who professionally does this for a living. If I have to do this and figure it out I need to charge the client a hefty fee.

Any editors who have done something like this know what's the average price a pro studio for broadcasting would charge?

Thanks

You should be able to take a quicktime to a facility and they'll pull it in on a mac or Avid and lay out to tape. they'll charge for a session and a tape and probably for time used on the decks in the CAR facility. Don;t pay for an expensive Flame session or something like that when there's a guy sitting in CAR with a Mac and a decklink hooked into the decks.

I live in South Africa so pricing here would be totally different.
