Possible Mac Crashing solution!

I had problems getting the P2 contents off my hvx200 to my macbook and after doing all sorts of techy downloads and firmware and junk like that, i just ended up using the USB cord instead of the firewire cord and it worked just fine! So if anyone may be having this problem give it a try.

What were your problems and with what OS version?

Was it a Macbook or MacBookPro?

Were you using an adapter on a MBP or just using firewire connect?
 
its 10.5.4 on a macbook and i was using just straight firewire connection.
everytime i went to do a drag and drop on ingest footage the mac would bring a screen up saying i needed to resart my computer. it drove me crazy.
