Portland, OR, Let's meet!

Alright boys and girl, only three days left. I really don't have a lot planned. I was thinking meet and great, show and tell, and then hopefully get a chance to pet Shawneous's RED. I'm going to bring a crane and dolly and some other stuff. So if you've got gear, bring it. Really though, the only important thing is that you show up. I want fifteen people there and I've probably gotten seven confirmations. Don't make me start Pm'm your arses. Oh, and I don't have to work Thursday so if anybody wants to go drink beers with me afterward, I'm down.
 
I've got the 12' Kessler Crane & monster Manfrotto tripod I could bring ... not sure how much value (or room) there'd be in bringing it, but it's about the only major piece of equipment I've still got, aside from the old DVX100a, and some higher end mics, etc.

Are we bringing any shorts to screen, etc.? What's the viewing source (A/V setup) if so?
 
Does anyone have a steadicam or glidecam or something of the sort? I'd love to be able to see/test one in person, always been curious. Also, the DVMultiRig Pro?
 
Oh man! Is the meetup this week? Can't make it this time around. My partner has a prior engagement, which means I'm on kid duty. Maybe next time, gentlemen. :-)
 
I've got the SteadiTracker Extreme (Promax), which is a one arm power job, as well as the Varizoom DV Rig ... or whatever that's called that mounts over your shoulder with two hand grips, ability to mount a monitor on their, etc.

Hey, has Patrick (PDX_DVX) RSVP'd? Maybe he'll bring some of my misc items he's had since last year. :grin:
 
Looks like I'll have to pull out of this one- Sorry guys. But I need to spend some time with my wife, as life has been very busy lately and we need the time together. I'll try and catch you all next time. :)

Yep, to be officially correct, there have been two previous times that the DVXusers have met up. Once at the Olive Garden, and then again at Red Robin. That is actually where i met Jerry for the first time :)

But as Jerry said, it was 2 or 3 years ago. So maybe it will be another 2 - 3 years until the next meeting.... either way, hopefully it will work out then.

Just got back from my daughter's band concert, which I just found out about last night. Even though it's hear in Vancouver, I'm guessing by the time I made it, it'd be about over, assuming it's 2 hours into it already. :(
