PORT/STARBOARD - A Rod Thompson Travesty

Chris is loaning him Chris! And all that that implies!

* Let's hope I get the tokina back from getting repaired in time, those things fly pretty well, but the landings are a killer...

The location looks rad!

Hopefully Chris will loan you that Tokina 11-16 for those tight shots.

Possibly the first DVXfest entry financed by YOUR tax dollars, let's see... 300 million executive producers, our credits are going to be pretty long.

Holy crap, Operation ClusterF$&@: The Tokina Adventures...

That was... an experience.

Grabs, apparently the name should be changed to Flourescent Strobing: The Movie! That does not fill my heart with joy, but what can ya do.

1 weeks notice.

1 day prep.

3 people.

8 hours running around like idiots inside a Navy cruiser, this is what you get.

My short suffers from a scene with LED strobing as well, it sucks.
apparently, if you see strobing in your camera (usually a DSLR),
change your frame rate to 1/60th instead of a 1/50th and it "should" go away.
I learned that too late.

It seems to be slow enough that it won't really be noticable on most shots (maybe), there was actually one or two places on the ship where the lights were strobing enough that I noticed on my viewfinder and we didn't shoot at those locations, I didnt realize they would all be like that to some degree, I played around with other shutter speeds and they were all worse than 50. Shooting neutral like i did, it really jumps out if you do any CC at all and scrub through the footage.

Crap. Didn't realize you shot 1/50. I always shoot 1/60 with the T2i.
I think Barry said that was best. Or Bloom? Can't recall.
