Hi!

I´m currently working on a docu about paragliding. But when viewing the material in a 42´plasma it looks like **** -the resolution is really poor!!!
All the settings were set to normal in 24fps interlaced. But V DETAIL FREQ was Thick and I used the squeezemode. Is that why the resolution i so bad???

Cheers

Thanx

Thanx

Thanx but too late. Everybody told me to use "thick" when doing 24p for video and I only used 24´-screens when testing... Guess thereś not much to do with this flick part for some posteffects. But what are the best settings for shooting in harsh light high up in the Alps when using Squeeze mode?

Cheers

Okay, guys,
I need a bit of advice here. Because of economic restraints, I use an old copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 for editing. I do not have the option of editing in 24p, so I shoot in 24pN. Elements will capture 24pA and edit it as well as 24pN (at 29.97 fps), but I have been told that if I use 24pA and export to DVD, the video will be jerky because of the 2:3:3:2 pulldown, so I have not tried that yet.

Also, I shoot everything in squeeze mode because I like it.

Anyway, I've read that if you intend to export to DVD, you should set the v detail freq to thick to reduce jagged edges and flicker. Now, I read that if I want to shoot in squeeze, I should set the V Detail Freq to thin.

So, if I am shooting 24p in squeeze mode and editing in 29.97 for DVD, which V Detail Freq setting should I use for the best image without jagged edges and flicker?

Why would 24pa footage be jerky on playback from a DVD? You can author a 24p DVD and then the player will add in the pulldown so it'll display correctly. Or if you want a 29,97 dvd just export it and tell it to add in the 3:2 pulldown. Should work either way, correct me if I'm wrong.
