General Please Recommend a Point and Shoot for Disney World

Hey
I have a T2i but honestly just don't want to mess with lugging it around Disney. We have a 2 year old though and I know he will not pose for pictures- energy level is just off the charts... so instead of selling the kid I wanted to get some recommendations for a point and shoot that can take pics as fast (or as close to as fast as possible) as an SLR... Obviously quality is somewhat important but in today's standards, I will be fine with any new camera's quality I'm fairly sure since these are just for family stuff and not for selling or anything like that.
I've been on cnet and cheesycam looking for suggestions...
Anything come to mind... Ideally, $400 range...
Oh and yes I've looked at the mirrorless options like the Nikon 1 and the Olym PEN but just don't like the range of the stock lenses with those and honestly don't want to even have a lens... I want this thing to stay in my pocket without worrying about bumping an interchangeable lens
thanks so much

fuji fine pix, is a kick ass camera, I bought one for my niece a couple years ago, the zoom was insane. Im sure they have newer models and better models, but their cheap enough, and they shoot video as well. My wife has a nikon point and shoot, cant remember which model, was around 200.00. The 2 yr old fuji destroys it.

someone had suggested a fuji x10 to me on another forum... its a bit higher than i'd like to spend but might be the ticket... thanks for the fuji plug maranfilms

what about the sony rx100? has great video capabilities and a fairly big chip... just got one myself for travels!

I will 2nd/3rd the recommendation for the RX100, it looks amazing for a P&S, plus it can take that amazing footage at 1080p60.

I'd get something waterproof like the Sony dsc-tx10 or the waterproof Lumix camera. I have the Sony dsc-tx10 and it takes great pics and video. I shot the first 23 seconds of this video with it.
