Hey Everyone,

My first feature-length film, the DVX-lensed "Plasterhead", was released nationwide yesterday!

The film has received a great push from Arts Alliance America and is available for rental/purchase at the following locations:

Netflix
Hollywood Video
Best Buy
Wal-Mart (urban locations)
J&R
Virgin
Borders
Newbury Comics
Movie Gallery
Hastings
Bull Moose
Value Music
Frys Electronics
Certain Blockbuster franchise locations

For all of you with Netflix/Blockbuster Online accounts, give it a rental! I've heard much commentary on the plot/acting, but I would love to hear from those of you who will watch the film with a technical eye.

Trailer can be seen here:

The distributor also completely re-did the official website. It contains a lot of great back-story information and media, and can be accessed here:

Thanks again for all your help and support...I've learned a ton from these forums.

Cheers,
Kevin

Um...I think this is the most filmic video i have seen on the site. Just the movie cover alone. Then the trailor? You even have that nice staticy text going on. You did ana amazing job on the cover, on the trailor, and I'm sure the movie is amazing. Im here in Canada, Toronto, I guess I can't get a hold of your video eh

Got my copy! Great job! I loved the bar scene wit the recounting of Plasterheads origins. I thought your cast did a really good job as well. I definiately saw some spot that could have been lit a little better as the black dude became all teeth at certain times. I thought the camera moves were really well executed. I tried not to be to techy watching it, I just wanted to enjoy your effort. Again great job!

Hey Guys, thanks for your opinions so far! By all means, get as technical as you with with your comments/criticisms...I'm much more interested in your feedback on the film as a DVX effort than the typical "it rulez!/it suckz!" that you get elsewhere on the web.

Also, if you guys go to the official website (www.plasterheadmovie.com), the distributor is running a contest where the winner receives $500, so you should get in on that!

Please, keep the feedback and commentary coming. There's a thread over in the Business/Post-Production section of DVXUser.com where I've been discussing the entire distribution process.

Here is a link: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=107113

For those who have asked, the film cost about as much as a new car.

Keep queueing up the movie in your Netflix and Blockbuster queues. I'll be here to answer any and all questions about the film, distribution, etc. Thanks again for all your support!

Great job, man! I finished my film, "Recoil" at the beginning of this year and I'm still going through distribution troubles, so big ups to you. The cover looks real cool. I'm going to check out the link to the distribution process and I will definately rent or buy a copy.

I'm looking forward to renting this.

From a DVX standpoint, (from viewing the trailer) it looks like you guys really know your way around lighting your set. I would like to hear about your setup, etc. Any post prod. info like CC, etc would be great too.

Congrats on the film.
