Picking up 7D tomorrow.

Vistek (specialty store in Toronto) just called to let me know they will receive the 7D tonight and that I can pick it up tomorrow morning.
 
Whoever gets a "final release" (not the pre-release beta) version of a 7D ...

Please let us know what exact video format/signal the HDMI jack outputs "live" while the cam is in both preview and record modes.

Also, please confirm whether or not the HDMI or A/V connector outputs live audio while in either preview or record modes.

Ah! Almost makes me wish I sucked up the extra couple hundred bucks and bought it from Vistek...

But, I think I can wait.

wonder when amazon is going to step up? kinda wish i would have gone with a smaller company now. we'll see tho.
 
When you get your 7D, please do a quick whip-pan test in both the 24p and 60p modes. And please post the results, if you can. I'm wondering about the difference in rolling shutter performance between 24p and 60p.
 
Awesome news. They are only about 5 hours driving time from me... I'd go up there if the kit wasn't like $400 USD more. ($2600 CAD for the kit = $2381 USD)
 
I am so itching for this thing, if I don't get it in the first wave I think I may be crushed.
