Philip Bloom's initial GH2 review & video

The Great British Pound is too... British. So I doubt it. ;) Besides, the current economic crap going on in the Euro Zone isn't exactly encouraging Brits toward using the Euro.

Britain is like a mini continent. Foreign language knowledge is very low, ties with America are high... Basically there really isn't much motivation to move to the Euro. :)
Fairly true. But economy always speaks higher. It will take time. The concept of border is going out. There's a giant growing up in the other side of the channel tunnel, and british are part of it :-) Only the number of british parties that deal with me practically in a daily basis doing business altogether prove how much we are tied, despite the dual currency. On the other side, as modern latin, english is the international language and will surely be (if not already is ;-) the official EU language de facto. The traditional UK connection to the US only helps for.

Still waiting on results from someone which tell if the MUD is back in highly detailed outdoor scenes. Some say yes, some say no..

Highly detailed scenes with lots of motion (camera, subject or both): I'd expect this scenario to cause a GH2 to record some compression artifacts, but I expect less than an unhacked GH1. And compared to the Canon DSLRs? We'll have to see.

The trickier comparison will be GH2 vs. hacked GH1, mostly because the hack allows so many options & settings. I expect many confusing & misleading reports as a result -- except if skilled folks such as Hunter Richards, Barry Green, etc. perform the comparisons.

To me, it looks like Panasonic pulled some strings with people who have a loaner. First, the thing gets delayed because of changes and then everybody is silent.

you need to take your conspiracy theories somewhere else. They do not belong in an adult conversation about this camera. As I have already said I am totally rammed until the middle of next week and do not have any free time to do further testing until then. Patience, not accusations are what is needed here. I thank you.

Philip, my comment was not aimed at you as I know (from your website) that you bought your own unit from Japan. There is more in life then feed the masses with information about a new camera. So no pun intended, sorry if it sounded that way. Cheers mate.

I was hoping to read some good news here from Philip. Instead I came across to this vision

That said, UK will adhere to the euro...

Hopefully not in the near future. There are already enough patients we have to pay for - Greece, Ireland. Portugal and Spain will be knocking on the door pretty soon.....

Thanks Philip for all your effort!

Uwe, with respect I think you will find that we are bailing you all out? are we not part of the EU too and paying separately to help "basket" cases like Ireland? I think you'll find its not us that need anyones help, we have sorted our own mess out, all be it we are in a mess short term, but remember this, you guys are paying nothing for the mess in Afghansistan either, and contributed very little if anything in Iraq, all in all its a good job we are here and no we dont need the euro, and yes we buy far too many BMW-VW and Mercedes cars in the UK? where's all that money coming from?

@Adventsam
It shouldn´t be an offense to you or any brit. But all I´ve heared and read the Uk has a pretty heavy debt problem:

That total debt figure already equates to 64% of GDP (the total size of all economic output). That total figure is favourable compared to, say, Italy or Greece where it is more than 100% or Japan at nearly 200%.

Ok, I have no further and detailled information. But yes, I suppose your economy is strong enough to sort that out - for sure.

but remember this, you guys are paying nothing for the mess in Afghansistan either
That´s not correct. Germany has 4300 soldiers in Afghanistan (the third largest contingent in the nato mission) and pays a lot of money to help this country. Lets leave it at that...

LOL Uwe, word (?), but that it is 'cause the politicians we have who have spent more than they can. Let me tell you, if UK would be in the Euro zone, everything would be easier for everyone. UK included. As it was for Germany after the reunification. Without EU, I doubt there would be what I've seen from my german experience. The economy doesn't recognise any borders (E. :-)

Its Panasonics fault, we are all getting new camera excitement fatigue with all this waiting and are all starting to get bored and fed-up with it:undecided.

"It started off as a GH2/Philip Bloom thread but turned into more of a discussion of squirrel migration patterns..."
